The DATAKOM DK-45 is a high-tech products providing control and protection of screw or piston type air compressors driven by electric motors. The unit incorporates all functions needed in a compressor control panel. Thus no additional modules are necessary resulting in lower panel cost.
The “early start” function analyzes the air consumption trend and runs the compressor so that the pressure never falls below the low limit.
The unit is directly supplied from the 230/400V utility network. It provides fail contact and sensor supplies internally, removing the need for a supply transformer in the panel. Utility mains voltages and frequency can be read on the unit. It offers low/high voltage and phase order protections.
The 2.9” wide, 128x64 pixels graphical screen displays values in bigger size and with graphic support.
The logic level Modbus RTU communication port of the unit allows computer connection providing monitoring and program parameter adjusting. Optically isolated digital inputs feature noise filtering allowing fault-free operation in electrically noisy environments.
The unit provides 5 relay outputs rated at 5 Amps. The unit configuration may be done through the front panel or using the free PC software.
The PC software is available for free download at manufacturer’s website. It is possible to monitor and record the unit using the free RAINBOW+ software.

There are many different features in Datakom AMF panels including mutual generator standby operations, mains and multiple generator synchronization, J1939 and MODBUS support, LAN and GSM remote monitoring and control. All these controllers can also be used for manual and remote generator control.
    • Manual/Remote Start Controllers Datakom DKG series Manual and Remote start controllers are comprehensive generator control units designed to start and stop gas, diesel and petrol 1-3 phase generating set manually and/or remotely. The manual control is made using the pushbuttons on the front panel. The remote control is made via the REMOTE START input signal. In AUTOMATIC position, controllers monitor the REMOTE START signal and controls the automatic starting, stopping and load transfer of the generating set. All devices have shortcut circuit protection to keep it alive after starter motor usage. Charger metal case is neutral isolated thus it could be powered whether by phase-neutral or phase-phase AC voltage.

This is an active system mounted near the generator and connected with several wires to measure and adjust the generator. In the first place the AVR monitors the output voltage and controls the input voltage for the exciter of the generator. By increasing or decreasing the generator control voltage, the output voltage of the generator increases or decreases accordingly. The AVR calculates how much voltage has to be sent to the exciter numerous times a second, therefore stabilizing the output voltage to a predetermined setpoint. When two or more generators are powering the same system (parallel operation) the AVR receives information from more generators to match all output.
